I visit my parents three times a week, usually returning home between 10 and 11 p.m. Tonight, I fell asleep as soon as I got back, only to wake up at 1:30 a.m.—and here I am, writing. (Not to mention, I have work to do. Thankfully, it’s not too much, but it still needs to be finished before morning.)
I suppose I’ve ruined yet another attempt at becoming a morning person.
A few weeks ago, I went to Oaxaca with my parents and brother. The trip was a disaster in terms of family interactions (brother and sister interaction to be more precise), but Oaxaca itself is always a beautiful experience.
There, you find the best food, the most stunning art, vibrant streets bursting with color, and creative people everywhere—all infused with that surreal touch so characteristic of México. My writing isn’t quite where I want it to be yet, so I’ll let some images speak for me:
